Everyone: Look forward to the SponCon Art Carnival and Benefit on August 16th! Bid on amazing art in the silent and live auctions. Artists: submit works for the silent auction.

and individuals: Pre-register for the We’re taking over the street once again with an even bigger array of opportunities for creativity and celebration.

Noon to 5 p.m. ART CARNIVAL
Free for everyone!
- Art-a-pult: load a cup of paint and hurl it at the community canvass with our catapult.
- Midway games: ring toss, water balloons, guessing games, fun and prizes galore!
- Found Music Studio: instruments made from found objects – make your own or jam on ours!
- Paint a door: we provide the door, the paint, the brushes, you provide the vision!
- Linoleum Block Prints: kids 12 to 120 can carve images in linoleum; we’ll help you print
- Kid’s creation station: fun projects for all ages, plus music and storytelling
- SponCon Contest: Pre-registered contestants work in teams or individually to create found-object sculptures for the evening’s awards and auction.
- Silent Auction Preview (Bid numbers included in price of admission to evening event.)
5 to 10 p.m. – Home Resource Benefit Auction
$15 at the gate or $10 before August 15th.
- Live music by Broken Valley Road Show and others
- Performance artists
- Dinner catered by the Hob Nob and $2 Big Sky brews
- 50/50 Raffle
- Silent auction of pre-made art and selected contest pieces
- Spontaneous Construction Awards
- Live Auction of ten selected works from the Spontaneous Construction Contest
PRIZES include:
- Best work by Under-12-Year-Olds: a mountain bike from Freecycles and freshly powder-coated by Powder Coating of Montana
- Best Wearable Art: $100 gift certificate to Betty’s Divine
- Best Work by a Prefessional Team: $100 in art supplies
- Best Musical Instrument: Free piano or guitar lessons at Tangled tones music studio and more.
- Best Functional Art: prize TBA
- Best work by a Family: prize TBA
